We Answered Some Questions
Transparency is essential to any successful design project. Below, we are weighing in on the questions we get most, from timelines to fees.
What is your fee structure?
Because every project is unique, our pricing is customized based on the scope, scale, and level of detail involved. We typically work within a hybrid fee structure that combines flat-rate design fees with hourly billing for certain aspects of the project, depending on the services required. This allows us to create a more tailored and transparent approach that reflects the specific needs of each home and client. Before moving forward, we provide a detailed proposal outlining the scope of work, design phases, estimated investment, and how fees will be structured throughout the project.
What is the design process like?
Our process is intentionally thoughtful and highly organized. We begin with discovery and planning, move into concept development and design presentations, and then guide the implementation process through construction support, procurement, and final installation. We believe the best homes are created through collaboration, communication, and attention to detail from start to finish.
Do you work with clients outside of Southern California?
Yes! We love to travel. Our non-local clients receive the same level of support but much of the communication happens virtually and via email. We will create a custom travel budget before contract approval so you know how many times we plan to come in person.
What does full service interior design mean?
Full service interior design is a comprehensive, turnkey experience. Put simply: we do the heavy lifting. From initial design concept to perfectly placing the last accessory, LBD will be there to take care of every detail.
Do you work on smaller projects?
Yes, while our studio primarily focuses on full-home and large-scale projects, we understand not every client needs full-service design. Through our Design Concierge service and Lindsey Brooke Home, we are able to support smaller furnishing-focused projects, select room transformations, and curated styling needs depending on availability and scope.
Can you work with our architect and contractor?
Absolutely. Collaboration is a huge part of our process, and we work closely with architects, builders, and trades throughout the duration of a project to ensure every detail is thoughtfully executed.
