Master Bedroom: Beach to the Burbs

It’s no secret how much we adore every room within our #BeachtotheBurbs project, but if I’m being honest, the master bedroom is hands-down my absolute favorite. We designed the space to feel like a total retreat, and from the moment we finished our install, a big part of me wished this bedroom was my very own.

So without any further adieu, let’s walk you through this master bedroom beauty.

We started our design work by adding textured wallpaper in the most subtle and calming color tones imaginable. I loved this specific wallpaper because it’s so reminiscent of sand on the beach and worked to complement the home’s coastal inspiration. The goal was to bring the beach to our clients, and I think it’s safe to say that we accomplished our mission.

Sometimes great design means taking a “go big or go home” approach, and that was definitely the case with our custom-made bed. We chose a statement channel bed in a stunning blue-green velvet that gave the room an immediate sense of luxury and warmth.

Accessories played a big role within the master bedroom design from the standpoint of both style and function. We selected oversized nightstands for additional storage space and brought in texture with a blue woven rug, soft, neutral curtains, and luxe bed linens. Last but not least, we added a grey leather accent chair and a pair of navy striped ottomans that managed to tie the entire space together.
