Hey Guys! I’m Back with a brand new website, new blog and new project reveal! I’m sooooo excited to be finally revealing our Dana Point Modern Beach Retreat Project! My client called to help her with her living space, and we slowly started working on her dining room and kitchen as well. She wanted a bright, airy and relaxed feel mixed with patterns and pops of modern beach vibes. Check out the before pictures below and let us know your favorite parts in the comments!
BEFORE
Everything was dark and traditional. My clients being steps aways from the beach wanted an airy relaxed living room. Since they have a young child and one on the way we need it to be functional as well. No hard corners, textiles that would last and a place where toys can roam free if they want.
AFTER
We started off with a neutral color palette with pops of blue and other cooler tones. We wanted lots of pattern and texture to warm up the space and have an inviting floor plan with lots of seating. Even the coffee table ottoman can be used as seating now.
The living room and dining room are open to one big space. So we wanted to make sure to create its own space within the room. MY client kept her old dining table and light so it was all about accessorizing around it and pulling in items to compliment each other.
The Kitchen was another area that got a full face lift. My client did a beautiful job working with McKay Construction and making a bright and airy kitchen. Not to mention making good use of the ocean views. We brought in some natural wood furniture to balance all the hard surfaces and accessories for all the beautiful counter space.
I mean look at that view! I wouldn’t mind cooking dinner here every night!
